make superjets great again

Figured i'd throw this up here so I have somewhere to post all of my pictures lol. I'm in the process of chopping up my hull to do the wide tray, -4 rear, and carter b rocker nose. It's just a stock 61x with a b pipe, enhancer, and a 9/15 hooker prop.

The goal is to have a fun boat chaser, surf ski, and still be able to let buddies who have never ridden before jump on it and have fun. IMG_6325.jpg

I always liked look of the chopped and rockered superjets. I thought it would be the perfect all around ski, almost bought one local before I bought my am hull.

Id consider doing a new foothold, get yourself a nice straight kick rather than the old duck foot positioning.

I thought about it, and it seems to me anyways that the straight kick is better complimented with big power. Just a different riding style. On top of that I'm so use to/comfortable with the "duck foot positioning" that I was even hesitant to widen the tray!

Finally a little update: I'm almost through the long, boring stage of body work. The bottom is done and primed, will blast it with appliance epoxy tomorrow. I also took 2" from the top of the pole, putting me at -5 total. No telling until I can ride it but it looks to be the perfect length.
