SXR Manifold Cooling Line

I have a quick question about the cooling line that goes to the exhaust manifold. I am wondering if it's okay to cut the metal line coming out the bulkhead shorter and get a longer black hose? I want to be able to fit in the Rule-Mate automatic pump in that spot but the metal line is in the way unless I can cut it shorter.

Here a picture with the red arrow pointing at the metal line.

Chop it. You will be fine. Just make sure you have a good hose clamp on there since you will be chopping off the nub on the end of the tube

Or bend it up and put bilge pump under it. It's what I did.

I bent mine too and it is fine

I chopped mine and flared the end a little. Good hose clamp and it is solid

I didnt think I had to move mine to fit my bilge...

cut mine to put make a little room for my water filter just put a good ol hose clamp on her! worked for me

Lol, this thread got bumped. I chopped it off and put a good clamp on it. Five months later, still holding like a champ.
