Mechanix wear Gloves

I've tried quite a few different gloves and nothing seems to hold up. I have seeing the Mechanix Wear brand gloves at Lowes, Advance auto etc., and was wondering if anyone uses these gloves, which style, and how well do they hold up? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Most of the generic brand work gloves last 3 months before my fingers are sticking out the ends. When you say waters gloves are you referring to the fingerless gloves?

Mechanix gloves would blow the seam in the palm everytime I'd use them, and the velcro never worked well in water. Really like the jetpilot phantoms right now. Got a season on the first pair with no issues which is good for me. I'll pick up another pair in the spring for when these decide to go.

I've always gotten 3 seasons out of a mid grade ski glove but ymmv. I currently run the Connelly Tournaments but have had good results with the Overtons and Gladiators.

Waterski gloves come in both styles, fingered & fingerless. The better the glove the better padding and double stitching in the palms and fingers. They also come with thicker wrist straps for support and back of the hand cinches to keep the gloves tight in the palm.

And just in case it isn't known or has been forgotten, any glove you get should be almost too tight when put on when dry. They'll loosen when they get wet but you still want them to be like another layer of your skin. Loose gloves don't do as much for a Kung-fu grip and can cause blisters.

damnnn seeing people saying a whole season or 2 out of gloves? im lucky if we get a few months. The mechanix gloves work ok but do tend to pop the seems. The harbor freight ones work well thats what ive been using this year. I think it all depends on where you ride and how often. I ride 2-3 times a week in the surf but guys in my crew ride at least 5 x's a week or if not daily and they blow through gloves in weeks.
