We got another v-wake session going on the river today in nice weather.
The first flip attempt of the day went bad. I timed it wrong and went too low and not enough rotation. I pancaked it and finally paid my dues for countless pancakes in the past year.
All four motor mounts ripped off. My billet couplers held, but the rubber damper got shredded. I could not get back under my own power.
So I tore everything apart, ready for new mounts. I believe these were actually the original 2001 mounts, save one.
The midshaft is shot, too. Not as a consequence of this, but very wobbly and noisy.

As a plus, I did get to roll the Mason Waddle Superjet off the v-wakes today.

Amazing they lasted so long. Stan grabbed my motor once and said "Dude all your motor mounts are busted" I had no idea. The kenny keepers kept the motor in place and as long as i did not land up side down I was fine. Rode the ski in the surf three more times before I changed them out.

Nice indeed.
I think I'll go with the GP800/GP1200 mounts.
I am not so sure on the midshaft yet. I've heard people say good stuff about the WSM midshaft. That can't be right?

I just did the same thing last weekend. cost me a dampener, 4 mounts, a helmet(blew the chinstrap clean off), cracked gelcoat on hood, a hole in the hood liner from the top of my b pipe, a broken go pro case, and rubbed through a bunch of reinforcement with my chamber on the ride home b/c of loose motor.

That was after 3 flip attemps. pancaked all three flat upside down.

I've got dozens of pancakes on these mounts. Must have got lucky I guess.
I am glad I found out about my bad midshaft, though.

I've got a brand-new Cold Fusion midshaft and an SBT midshaft housing sitting in my garage. Going to find a machine shop to press it together tomorrow.
Brand-new XFT motor mounts are still 4-5 days out.

hell no..those WSM midshaft are junk and will rust to , trust me

I didn't do that, after all.
I got new XFT SJ mounts coming, and I have a Cold Fusion midshaft + SBT housing & bearings sitting in my garage.
