Mike Serlin pulls off TWO double barrel rolls.

JK won a contest, that's not news......somone got stiches at a ride, meh, that's almost a given.

But a double barrel roll??? Mike Serlin just joined the ranks of a VERY small number of people in the world to successfully pull of a double barrel roll....and he completed two of them this weekend.

Great surf and the motivation to place in a contest made him try one friday afternoon....and then sunday, he pulled another one in a heat against Pierre Maxient, giving him the edge he needed to win the heat.

Honestly, this deserves a HUGE congratulations.

Probably one of the most amazing things i saw this weekend was Serlin's Double BR. Pierre and Mike were neck and neck the whole heat... Then he throws a double...securing his spot in the final..

Was friday your first ever attempt?

Yeah, friday was the first, and I landed hard. I completed two full rotations but I stayed so tucked the whole time that I didn't try to spot my landing. The ski hit tail first and my head and chest were over the bars. I collapsed into the pole but i rode away. The second time during competition I was able to spot the landing on the second rotation so it wasn't such a surprise. Without at least a 7 foot face I woudn't even think about attempting it.
