I bought this ski and it doesn’t run well when it’s hot.
I already replaced the ignition coil with a OCD rebuilt and the symptoms are still there.
The ski won’t go above 1/4 throttle after 3-5 gallons of fuel. So I checked the stator and found the following specifications.
Pulser coil: 3V when cranking (specs say 4-5V)
Pulser coil resistance: 14.5ohm (specs say 12.6 to 15.4)
Charge coil: 535ohm (specs say 497 to 608)
Lighting coil: 1.4ohm (specs say 1.14 to 1.40)
Lighting coil resistance to ground: 160k ohm and 3M ohm
Charge coil: 35.5V when cranking (specs say 30 to 50)
I am concerned the pulser coil output is low and the continuity between lighting coil to ground. (Leakage to ground). Can I be certain that I need a new stator? Also the white with red trace on the CDI has burnt looking insulation. Perhaps both are bad? $$$$$
