FX-1 Mod FX1 jetting

I have tried with no success to get it right so I ask for some help! The long weekend is only a couple days away and the wife wants to ride her ski which was totally redone.

The mods are as follows...
Pro-tec rec head
Coffman sizzler exaust
Full freeride port job
Carbon reeds
Lightened flywheel
3 degree advance

Im starting to think that I should only go up one size from stock? I just cant get it the run properly, it starts and idles but when I give it throttle it just chokes up. ANY HELP would be great!
 
Do some/a lot reading. Learn how the carb works. Dont think someone can throw out the magic numbers you need. You have to find them yourself.


145 m 2 1/2 turns
120 p 1 1/2
2.3 n/s with gold spring should give 25 pis pop off.

Put on a extra anti syphon vale.

How is your carb set up now? Whats ur pop off?

You could pay someone.

I have taken my car off and made change over 50 times and still not perfect. Two bolts, two nuts a cable and your carb should lay on top of the head for change. Open the fuel cap to let the air out of the tank so fuel dont spray in your eyes.

The jetting you listed is way too fat, I know cause I tried it! All I was looking for is a starting point and I will not be paying someone for something I can easily do myself.

look in the tech faq section. Randy with Watcon gave a great illistration on how to tune your carbs. Nobody can tell you where you need to be.

Start at 100/100 see if you need more or less fuel.

Do you have something to check ur pop off? Have you changed it? What was it and what is it now?

This could be something other than carb jeting problems. To help dial in ur carb you need to tell more than what you have, like pop off.

Going with a higher pop off is like going lower p/jet and vice versa.

Just trying to help!
 
hey man im running a drypipe, got it hitting decent with a 135 main and 120 pilot if that helps at all its pretty close forsure
stock carb

I got it figured out...Finally

140 main
120 pilot
95 gram spring
1.5 n&s
1 1/2 high
1 7/8 low

Thanks for all the input fella's, it makes things alot easier when you go out a drop a wad of cash on every jet and spring you can get! At least the ol ladie is of my back...For now!
