Ok. So here the problem. This is what happened to my jet ski. I finally got the spark and timing just right. So I took it out for a test run. So I realized that after about 5 minutes it would REALLY lag in tourqe. After that, it wouldn't go over idle. Then it just stopped. But im just wondering what the f is going on here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bet the woodruff key sheared. When you install the stator it needs to be a really good seating. The key is only for alignment, not to stop rotation. The seat is made by spinning the stator on the shaft. Apply pressure and maybe use polishing compound too. Install with 115 ft lbs, or less ideal, tighten and hit with mallet, tighten more, mallet more it's a big nut you won't hurt it.

Well I think I found the problem. I believe the timing was still off. So I hooked up a timing light and now it's spot on. Now I'm going to test it and see if it runs.
