from what I've read it gets rich when the pump is un hooked. if I remember right it delivers fuel based on rpm not engine load/vacum

There's an article on GroupK about this.
I'd stay far away from it - unless you're comfortable wrenching, tuning, and finding rare spare parts.

On my Closed Course race boats (blasters and superjets) back in the day, they hit so hard (it took some time to get them working right) that you could get way more agressive with porting to tone them down as to not wear out the rider in 10 laps... I don't think I would try them for freestlye as they didn't like the throttle getting opened repeatedly as they would load-up with fuel.

I had a set of it
I was thinking about hooking it up but i am not really sure its that good for a superjet that spends alot of time bouncing on the track

There seems to be a discoloration of the fuel pump cover, which is usually caused by installing the crankcase cover (with the fuel pump bolted to it) and not getting the tongue of the pump completely into the groove in the flywheel bolt. Or, not running a gasket behind it, which in some cases can allow the tongue to bottom out. This pushes the gear/shaft combo of the pump against the pump cover and heats it up until it discolors and potentially warps. Once it is warped, the pump can't maintain prime and becomes ineffective. The fuel pump is the most critical component of these systems these days because nobody I know has been able to find a replacement for it and MRD isn't fabricating the pump covers any longer.

Throttle response is as advertised, but you do need to know or learn about what you are doing because if you set it up too lean, it will run great right up until the pistons burn up.

The people that have them and learn to set them up and maintain them right love the performance.

However, it adds to the mechanical complexity of your ski.
