my first time going to world finals. Need advice.

Other newbs feel free to hijack this thread with your questions as well.

1) I'm submitting my vacation time for October and need to know what days to take off for world finals. When is the freestyle finals and when is the demo day where I can try out some AM hulls? I'm hoping to just make a 4 day weekend out of it if possible. I'm low on vacation days. I plan to fly into vegas and drive down.

2) I dont have a camper so what are my options for lodging? Tent camp? Is there a decent priced hotel near the event that you guys recommend?

3) Any other information I need to know?

Thanks fellas. I'm super excited to finally make it out!

you DO NOT want to tent camp. It will be miserable, i guarantee it. Try to find a house to rent for a few days with some friends, that is always the most economical and comfortable choice. the ability to just put your trailer in a garage and not worry about it is nice. We rent a house for 2 weeks every year down there and i wouldnt do it any other way

We stayed at "hidden palms" for the weekend of world finals 2014. Its was pretty decent and pretty fair priced.
I would def not tent camp, its was really hot. The comps are nice to watch, the london bridge is really cool. But you cannot miss body beach were you can try new stuff. Thats so cool, man i wish i could go this year!
You can also visit some of the non - comp sites friday to sunday were people ride and train - like site six and body beach. Mostly "private" people, but its possible to get a ride there.
Have a nice world finals :)

Its in the 60's at night, that sounds real nice to me?

Sounds nice, until you wake up at 5:15 am in a tent that is probably 120 degrees inside because the sun has been baking you inside of it.

Trust me you DO NOT want to tent it. A buddy of mine did one year even though we offered to have him stay with us. He got zero sleep and had a miserable time every morning for a week and a half straight.

I felt bad for him, but it was one of those "I told you so" moments..
