My First WB1 Semi Build

Sup guys, this is my first thread on the X, I’m new here and wanted to share my ski I’m working on/kind of building. It’s a 94 WB1 I picked up off Craigslist. Thing was sitting outside for years but the hull was pristine other than fading paint. I had a raider motor sitting around I wanted to drop in there for some brap because my other blaster isn’t fast enough for my liking... here are my plans with her:

62t/62t raider motor bone stock
Coffmans pipe
Solas 9/15 impeller
Ocean pro ride plate
Ocean pro intake grate
Pro tec +20 nozzle
And a bunch of billet goodies

The inside of the engine bay before and after I cleaned it for a while.. the factory oil tank hose cracked and leaked oil all over the hull

If doing the rocket pipe and dual 38's the best jetting combo I found was 135 Main 72.5 Pilot. Pop off w/ open flame arrestors start with 38psi.

Dropped the motor in to shim it up and check fitment

Also get yourself a hump coupler for the pipe. It will hold up better and keep your mount from breaking.

Had a lovely time putting a heli coil in the case threads that stripped clean

Since I am only waiting for my carbs and pump to be done at jetworks I got bored and decided to do the seat mod.

Pretty easy honestly, I pulled the old cover off and took the foam and styrofoam off and started mocking it up on how want it to look and how much to shorten it.

Then it was a bunch of cutting, grinding, and fitting until I got something that looked nice.

So I had a few hours before work tonight and was able to knock out the color sanding. Will probably start buffing tomorrow then install the turf and all the billet goodies.

So I was out in Parker all weekend but unfortunately didn’t finish the new blaster. Planning on finishing her up this week and heading back out this weekend. Weather was nice and cool with a little wind

Motor compartment looks clean. Exterior looks 1000% better!

squiggy, what process did you go through to restore the color? 1500 -> 2000 wet sand then polish?

1200 to 1500 to 2000 on the purple and 1500 to 2000 on the black

The ole girl last week in Parker. Brought her home to do a little work and then going back out in middle of August.
