At our snow show.. Kinda funny seeing my jetski at a show for sleds. But it was at my sponsors booth.

The build is a little different since the motor work and little tricks will be done in the 212 shop.

Going to be adding some Pro Watercraft rear sponsons for the races up here since they don't care if here's front and back. I'll remove them for world finals.

Also be changing up the mat kit to a jettrim that goes over the rails and adding the Pro Watercraft wedge.

The prowatercraft handling stuff and jettrim is the best. Get the center hump on the mat kit..it helps with foot placement. I would honestly recommend against going to 849cc. Doing that takes your cylinder immediately to last bore. Go to 83mm for a true 800cc and have 4 bores left after that still. If you think that boring for the extra cc is going to get you into 1st place I would tell you to spend that money on fuel and invest your time in riding instead.

Pump cones aren't legal in lites class either for ijsba

Save the cylinder and just ride more

I deffently agree on the pro watercraft and jettrim. Thankfully have both companies as sponsors for this season.

I heard mixed reviews on he 849 kit. Some guys say it's the way to go and other didn't care for it. All I know is one of the guys I race against has the 849 and always gets me at some point in the race.

I'll have to pull the rules up. I thought the cone was allowed in lites class.

If the guy with the 849 is getting you at some point that means that your ski is getting him at the start............ Means he is not necessarily faster, He is just outriding you towards the end of the race............ Ride More, Get better endurance..

Exactly my thoughts. OP don't forget in this class it's 4/5 rider abilities and 1/5 machine. That's how I view it anyways
I totally agree with you and that's why I'm building my ski for this class.

Plans for this year are to ride even more. We spent almost every weekend at the lake ripping bouyies.

My first race last year was only my 4th time on a jetski. Lol

Just want that novice stock trophy to say 1st not 2nd. Lol

Basiclly I asked klipper what I need to have a lites capable boat for havasu. He gave me a list and we're rolling with it.

I keep getting told that I shouldn't have gone to final bore. Guess I'll learn the hard way cause that works already done.

Keep in mind, Klipper is doing what your told. Left up to him, It will be maxed out to get maximum performance. At his level. You have to be maxed. He also has spare cylinders, motors and complete ski's. You dont. His skill level is at the upper end of the spectrum racing multiple classes. So, on a stocker, he is full throttle constantly and ringing everything out of it.

Oh I know Mikes on a whole other level.

Might thought was if I'm going to build/ have built a lites ski I might as well go all out right? Seems to be an issue I have whenever I start a new sport.

I'm new to all this as I just started riding jetski's last year. So there is a lot to be learned. But if figured why not go all out... well except no advent.

That being said since I'm not maxed out and on the gas all the time shouldn't it last longer. Haha
