need 750 motor info

Bought a 93 750sx today. Motor is shot so on the search for a new one. What are the differences in 750 motors. Whats gonna be the best and easiest one to fit back in my 93 single carb?

Physically they are the same. I have not had a 750 stand up but it came with all 3 motor options. Any of the twin motors should bolt right in as long as you use a pipe for the hull.

Plenty of information about the different motors online. Group k has a site that explains the difference.

I had a 750 small pin in my x2 until it finally blew up. I have a big pin now. Ive ran them with different exhaust and intake so it's hard to say which is better. Both made good power. I only ran the stock twin carbs on the small pin a short time and never the ones one the big pin. Always ran mikuni carbs.

I say get whichever one is cheaper, but I myself would pay a reasonable (small) amount more for the big pin, but that is personal preference, other might want the small pin.

I prefer small pins for recreational use. The SP has smaller, lighter, crank webs and lower exhaust port time-- both make for better throttle response/bottom end.

I am interested in the motor if you sell it. PM me...
