Need advice on hood repair

So I just bought a SN superjet and didn't notice 'til I got home that there was a lil chunk missing out of the hood. So I'd imagine that it would let a lot of water in. I've never repaired fiberglass, so I don't know exactly what to do. Should I just buy some epoxy resin and go at it?

what do you guys recommend I do? I wanna get out on the water this Sunday.

If you want to get on the water right away, then duct tape it, jamb some foam in there, leave it as is, and don't do subs and under water tricks.... Fix it over winter

You need fiberglass cloth. I can't tell the extent of the damage from the picture but 12 or 17 oz should be fine. Clean the surfaces with acetone, prep the surfaces with low grit sand paper, if there are cracks you need to cut them away or drill into the end of the crack to alleviate the stresses. Clean again with acetone, cut templates if needed, cut cloth, preg cloth with epoxy, place, let set, trim or sand to smooth if needed, ride.
