Freestyle Need help/ideas for new project ski

i just moved out to Minnesota from new jersey and sold my ski before i came out here thinking i wouldn't need it but turns out i live right by a lake. The problem i am running into is that im used to riding in the surf and everything here is fresh and flat water. Im going to build the ski from the ground up and plan on starting it asap but what i need to know is what kind of hull should i start with and what type of motor would people suggest so i am able to barrel roll and such and actually have some freshwater fun

for a lake cruiser, id say a RN thats cut back, with a built up 701. seen plenty roll and can do just about anything. have even seen a RN backflip. if its AM you want, depending on your budget theres a ton to pick. on my top 3 would be a Rickter, a Hurricane, or a Backie Chan. if you want cheap, a gen 3 bob is a good start, and ive ridden the rage comp brawler and love that ski too. feels more predictable then the bob.

as for motors, you wallet is the limit. in my eyes a ported ig bore 701 based motor is idea, for reliability. (why im building a 61x 762) but theres plenty of ways to blow 10K on a 200hp demon.

and be sure to build a good pump. big power means nothing with a crap pump. so solas vane, a hooker prop, bored nozzel ect. and if its a toy only and not a distancd cruiser, grab a total loss. if you want to ride distance too, stick with a enhancer or similar.

Thats what ive learned from my experiences and what my plan is.
