SXR Need help modding my sxr!!!!!!

Hi im new to this site and to the sport! I have a 2009 sxr 800 with a wet pipe and advent ignition. Im looking to get more power out of the ski for flatwater tricks. My budget is 2500 for this winter project ! Im open for suggestions! Also i have a good relationship with some local machine shops if they can do anything to help me save money! Thanks!!

$2500.00 you can get a Superjet all ready for flatwater tricks and keep the 800sxr for railing and surf. You get two boats that can do it all. This was a serious responce.

Sorry that you want to do freestyle and got into the sport not knowing that the SXR is the worst ski possible for tricks, the things a tank. The only way I can say with confidence to make it a freestyle machine is take the guts and throw them in a EME Q8 or similar hull.

it can be done but by the time you mod that sxr it wont be worth much as a race ski. and it will still be pretty heavy. and less reliable. for what you want, just go to the sj. I agree with all the above opinions.

Do some reading on here and you will see this trail has been well worn and the end result is sxr is a heavy nice riding, handling ski for flatwater carving. For what you want, the sj is just simply closer to what you want. makes more sense to start with that than an sxr.

Thanks for all the tips guys! i was thinking more on the end of building up the motor and purchasing a trim kit ( which one would be best?) and modding out the ski so next season i could just buy a new hull and drop that motor and pump in it

If your gonna do that call art at Jetworks . 3 years back I had group k bb to a 850. This year I sent it to art full motor port(cases/cylinder/exh/) runs amazing in a q8 hull.

Trim makes huge difference. Either sato engineering or thrust. The sato I really really nice. No modding 25 degrees
