Hello Everyone,

Need some advice I want to put a bilge pump in mu stock 04 superjet. Some questions I have are what type, auto or manual should i buy a whole kit and single or dual? Also some insight on installation.

I run one auto and one manual. I would replace your hoodseal every couple of years. Buy the bracket that allows you to mount two pumps. You can also epoxy them to the hull under the midshaft.

You can buy the single or double mount that mounts to the midshaft. Then go on amazon to get a good price onthe pump. You will also need a thru hull fitting and a water proof switch. I've always run a switch so can't speak for the auto ones. Wiring is straight forward ground to a spot on the motor , positive to battery with switch and fuse inline. OCD makes a clean wire option into the ebox. I think it's called tidy bilge.

im not sure i would epoxy a bilge to the hull, not saying it hasn't been done successfully and im not hating on anyone, but white urethane is a better option IMO, cheaper and not as messy or as permanent.

Or zip tie it to the steering cable. @BruceSki gave me that idea and that's the only way I'll ever do it from now on.

I always thought it was odd that every other type of boat has the bilge pump stuck to the low point in the bilge.......except for PWCs. Who has special brackets, even ones in bright colors.

WTH?

Does anyone know if the automatic Rule 500 gph pump (25S) is a drop in replacement for the standard non-auto 500gph pump? My ski came with a bracket and 500gph rule pump but it needs replacement and I'd prefer the auto mode.

If you are thrashing surf real hard you definitely should epoxy the blue pump holder down, just grind it down if you want to remove it. 5200 is more of a sealant

The auto bilge doesn't make a lot of sense to me since it doesnt hurt the pump motor to run dry. So if you're riding in conditions that need it (surf), just flip the switch and leave it on until your beach your craft.

Also the 300gph works fine for a stand up and cavitates less than larger ones
