Need quality jetski boots with neo liner (not wrestling shoes)

There seems to be so much controversy over jetski boots. It seems jetpilot and slippery are both big into making jetski boots, but both quickly fall apart.

I understand that many people go with wrestling shoes due to their tough construction and cheap price. But I'm pretty sure that I would want a boot that has a built in neoprene bootie, to give some warmth in spring and fall season, and also to help keep out rocks and sand, plus an actual arch supporting sole.

I know some people buy wrestling shoes 1 size larger than their actual feet size, and use a seperate neoprene bootie, but I don't think I want to go this route either.

I've been doing a lot of research on the jetski boot topic, but can't seem to find a thread where anyone talks about a really good boot.

I found in another thread where a person was talking about these being good boots:

The sure do seem like they would be heavily built, but would these be too much of a boot?

I saw in another post where a person talked about Mobby shoes. Nobody discussed anything about them and I googled and couldn't find much about them either.

Currently I'm wearing simple watersocks, and my ankles get beat up, and I'm constantly taking them off to get the rocks out of them.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

why do the slipperys come apart? any way to restitch and glue or is it all crap material?

i wear skate shoes. they are sand traps and the soles are getting real slippy.

I have not had problem with Slippery comp boot coming apart and they work very nice. Slippery also has some booties called Siphon boots which are well made and about half the price of comp boots, plus they have the switch shoe.

Don't buy the Jet Pilot boots, They suck. Mine came apart on me half way throught he season. ended up buying wrestling shoes, but I don't like taking them on and off when I get sand in them.

I have been using wake skate shoes. They are just like skate board shoes but alot lighter and they are ment for the water. The one's im wearing now i think are dc's and are almost 3 seasons old and they are just now coming apart. I paid 30 bucks for them

the nrs work boot is great for a spring winter fall riding shoe, but is just to insulated and hot for a summer season riding shoe

going on 3rd season with my Slippery Comps, granted, I did not ride as much last year. But still, I get a season out them regardless.

Answer me this, how often do you buy new shoes (running, tennis, cross training)? Most, at least once or twice a year depending on how much you wear them. Now imagine this, put them in water, over and over and over...... dry them out, get them wet..... They are gonna tear up. It is the same with Slippery's or Jetpilots. Water is rough. Mine hold up much better through a race season if I do not do leg drags, but if I do, they start tearing up much faster.

Cape Coral FL,
Go to a dive shop (as in deep sea diving) and check out a pair of diving boots.
I have had mine for 2 years, still like brand new! $59
They have a very solid anti skid sole made for coral and sharp stuff, they come up above the ankle, with a size zipper. Very comfy too.

i've got a pair of mobby's and love them but unfortunately they coming apart, got them used about 5-6 years back, they don't make them anymore so I will have to try slippery's comps

if you guys are having problems with the wrestling shoes, you're buying cheapy aasics or something. Buy a decent pair of addidas sydney's with the zip liner, they are pretty well sealed and you won't get anything in them. spray a tiny bit of scotch guard on the outside and you're good for years and years. as a wrestler, i know that the addidas stand up to a beating. i've had the same pair for 6+ years of intense practice (seperate pair for matches). they look brand new.
