650/X-2 Need some info about what Head to use?

Hello I am building a 650 X2 motor thats 1 over. would like to know what head to use? PJS high compression,WestCoast or just mill a stock Head whats the difference in all this. And what makes the high compression heads better?

higher compression means more force on the pistons when they are moving.this results in more power output by the motor.on a 650sx,all the aftermarketones are about the same imo.i believe the westcoast head had swirl domes which were supposed to help the flow.

Westcoast heads have stock style domes, just higher compression. I've had 3 different WC heads, and have had no problems with any of them. Another benefit is that they are normally tapped for dual cooling, and look better under the hood. That being said, you can probably get the same results out of a stock head...

With Westcoast, look for a head with 7030 (170 PSI) or 7029 (190 PSI) domes, you can probably find one for about the same price as milling your stocker.
