Need to customize trailer

I have a 2 space shoreland'r. It's a big dog, that I need to try and fit 3-4 SJ on. the spacing is set up for 2 large couches, and I'm looking for ideas on how to fit safely. Possibly adding a bar that goes side to side and attach upright posts with C shaped bowstops and pins? Anywhere I can get something like that, or am I going to have to Fab everything?

The adjustable brackets and hardware costs a fortune. If you have access to the tools and material to fab something up, I believe it will be much cheaper.

I originally did my 2 place with all the adjustable stuff from West Marine and believe it or not, the aluminum setup was almost half the price, and will never require any maintenance, bunk replacement, rusted hardware, etc. It's also almost half the weight, if that's any consideration to you.

Original was $265 for the brackets, stainless u-bolts, bunks carpet, etc.

All said and done, the aluminum was only $145. I had a buddy TIG it all together for me.

Added bonus is that the entire bunk system can unbolt and lift off if I need to carry something else. Someday i will build a drop on flatdeck for it.

wow.. that turned out nice.

My trailer is quite a bit larger, and the issue is the the 2 winch/uprights are centered on the only two front/rear facing beams. So to put 3 all side by side, Id need to find a way to make a whole new attachment point. Im not super handy with FAB work, so I'm kind of stumped.

I'm kind of at a loss, cause you kinda need fab skills to do what you're wanting to do. But it wouldn't be that hard at all IMO.

I would ditch the carpeted wood plank in the center, scoot the bunks over on the side that doesn't have a ski in the pic as far as possible.

I'd put these on the same beams as the other bunk mounts for the center ski. http://www.etrailer.com/Boat-Traile...tml?feed=npn&gclid=CISIhoidn8cCFQoLaQodCG8Euw

Add carpeted bunks.

Is there a piece of square tube running down the center? If so you need to know the size, you can get away with a 90* winch post but just put a bow stop on it.

But ^^^ that will accept a hand winch for another $69. But do you REALLY need a hand winch for a stand up?

On the front for the 4th ski, you'll run it perpendicular obviously. Really you'll need at the very least a welder to do this right. You MIGHT be able to get away with some brackets like the ones listed above, but I would weld tabs to mount hardware to hold bunks. There's a lot of ways to do it...
You don't need a bow stop, just straps on the front and back of the ski that go to the frame of the trailer. But you want the straps to stay centered and low as possible.
It's important that the chines grab the bunks because the downward pull of the straps are what is going to keep it from rolling forward of back ward off the bunks.
If you're really concerned, you could throw a strap around the ski and the bunks for added insurance.

I've done this on a single place trailer, made it into a two place trailer.

Why not just put the middle ski on the board and add some 2x4 runners to make sure it doesnt wobble off the side. Put comosite deck board ontop of the center plank and the middle ski will slide on it like butter. Put the 3rd wench on the tongue.

Personally id just use 4 u bolts and 2 7 foot long 2x2 aluminum tubes to make a base to mount new bunks, then just bolt on 6 new bunks allowing the 2 outer skis to fit over the wheel. I have a much smaller trailer and that is how mine is setup.

A 3rd bar in the front would let you mount your wenches.
