I need to cut out and replace a small section of foam. I goes right under my left foot, so I need something that can support a load. Are there and good materials for this?

This way have been covered before, but it's really a pain to search on a tiny mobile screen.

umm, a block of polystyrene? That should be enough..
Or you can lay a few layers on the top of a foam block, and then place it in the hole!

Just reinforce the tray with a layer or two of biax and forget about the foam until you need to replace all of it. (Here's the bad news: if you have one small section that needs replacing chances are it all does, but that can wait till winter.)

Ok, thanks. I'm trying to avoid a full refoam until after the fall.

Stupid question, but can I apply resin directly to the foam? I've seen it react badly to some other foam materials.
