Other Needle and Seat: Needles interchangeable?

So I ordered everything to rebuild my carb, except I ordered the wrong size N&S.

I should have ordered a 2.5 N&S, but I actually ordered a 2.3 N&S.

My question is, can I just use the needle from the new one I ordered and place it in my older seat? I already inspected the old seat, to me it appears to check out.

The old needle isn't even that bad, but I just figured I would replace it while I'm rebuilding the carb. I've been trying to chase down a intermittent lean running condition that clears out if I feather the throttle.

Upon removing the carb, I truly think it might be a worn throttle shaft/butterfly. So I ordered one of those too.

I plan on changing out all fuel filters, rebuilding carb, rebuild throttle shaft, new N&S, and possibly changing out the fuel lines also.

The seats that use the viton tipped needles usually do not wear, you should be fine as long as you replace the needles with the same size and type

Defiantly using Viton type needles. I'll more closely inspect the seat with a magnifying glass to make sure the seat is not worn.
