New build First shake down run

Going for the first shake down run tomorrow. Any pointers / tips other than water leaks? Also any tip on setting a flow control valve without a tach? Shout out to JM , ChuckBiscuits (Hull), SpeedySprocket ( E box via Face Book) ,and Thrust/ Brian ( cases via Face Book) for supplying parts to go from bare hull no parts to running ski in a month.

looks nice a clean. Personally Im not a fan of outter wears, i had them on my ski at first then took them off and the ski woke right up! good luck tomorrow and have fun.

Put on a coupler cover. If your waterbox is steaming, open the FCV up some more.

Thanks for the replies guys . I was wondering about the coupler cover . Every thing is clear but I’ll take the one off my SN and see if it fits. Seems like not many people like the outerwearers. I’m not sure how good this hood seal is after this ride they may come off. I forgot I had some temp strips to put on. That should help with the FCV.

Coupler cover is as much about containing the water that your couplers fling up and keeping it from getting inhaled by your carbs as it is to keep hoses and wires off the drive shaft.
