This is a draft of new buying/selling rules, comments or suggestions? This is basically the same way we currently operate, but put into words so everyone will be on the same page.

Adult conversation only please, if there is a good suggestion that people agree with, we'll put it in, or if everyone disagrees with something, we'll take it out. maybe

RULES:
  • All posts must list an item’s price.
  • No keyword spam, keep the post related to the item you are selling. Adding Kawasaki to a post for a Yamaha only part is pointless and only serves to waste time for those who are using the search function.
  • Under no circumstances may users post suggesting that a listed item may be found elsewhere at a cheaper price. It is the responsibility of the buyer to search for the best deal. This should be a safe, friendly environment for members to sell their items without being undercut within their own threads. This is 'post dumping'.
RESPONSIBILITY
  • All sales conducted within the X-H20 forums are the sole responsibility of the person(s) involved. X-H20, and it’s moderators will not be held responsible.
  • Do not post your personal address on these forums. The forums are viewable by anyone, and information posted here such as your address would be freely available to anyone. Keep that information strictly to Private Message or E-mail.
  • If a deal seems suspicious, or too good to be true, then it usually is. Check the user’s profile and search for that individual’s feedback in the Feedback forums. Please report such threads to the moderators.
  • You may post feedback after the sale is completed. Please post such information in a prompt manner, as this information may be used by other potential buyers.
COURTESY
  • Please include preferred contact information within your listing. This can include your e-mail address or Instant Messenger service handle.
  • No random comments! Only post if you are interested in buying or selling items on the boards. Random and/or useless posts should be reported to the moderators to be deleted.
  • One “bump” or “TTT” per day. If you surpass this, the thread may be locked and/or removed and/or the offending post(s) removed.
Seller Suggestions:
  • Titles should also be clear and concise. The less confusing the title is, the easier it is for a potential buyer to find the item they are looking for.
  • Pictures are extremely helpful in selling items. There should be actual photos of the item you are selling, and not those from websites or ebay. If they are not your photos, they should not be on your listing.
  • Image hosting is free through X-H2O, by attaching the images to your post. Please utilize this feature, as it is convenient both for buyers and sellers.
  • If you do not have a digital camera, definitely try to borrow one, or use a cell phone then send the pictures to your e-mail address to post. In this day and age, there is no reason that you cannot get pictures if requested---someone you know has a camera.
Buyer Suggestions:
  • Always check a user’s feedback before dealing with them. You can check in the Feedback forums using X-h2o’s Search feature. It is also suggested to ask for references. Check the user’s profile for their registration date. You may want to take extra precautions for newly registered users.
  • Buyers should let sellers know when they’ve made payment. Information such as when PayPal transactions were made, or when Money Orders have been mailed is useful.

People should be able to post a comment on part/item/ski. Maybe not random but right part/condition/application should be able to converse. I think 1 bump a day is a great rule. A picture should be mandatory!

The intent is to keep random crap (think VIN discussions, for example) out of people's sales threads.

What you two mention is fine.

And what the Fruck is up the the "TTT" thing...:smashfreakB:

Don't want people bumping their sales threads 20 times a day.

The Good Old Days
One bump a day is more than enough.
What's to stop the seller from just posting a new for sale thread or just bumping another one that has the same items in it ??
Nothing worse than good items at fair prices being lost to the back pages by constantly bumped threads.

Thread titles should make sense. +++++++ or ######## or @@@@@@ just look goofy and clutter the whole for sale section.

Those are not 'random' comments, they are related to the item and perfectly fine.

How should that be worded to make it more clear maybe?

from what i have seen here lately, there's been hardly any issue's with dump posting's since the flamer's and blb's have been put to rest + warned not to play that pwc2trashu games here !!!

if you are not going to buy something, you should not post, period !!!
take your questions or commetts to the p/m side.

the wanted section i next to be addressed !!!
what the web site's policy on that area ???

i for one am sick of being bashed in public, and have taken my business to the p/m side only.
