New here and to Standups! Few Qs...

Hey everybody!

Im new to the standup world (wanted one my whole life but never had the money till now!) And I'm trying to decide on which ski to get.

Basically I'm looking at a modded 91 SJ with a 701 or a stock but mint 94 750sx. Both around the same price.

I have been riding sit downs since I was 16 (25 now) and I think I am looking for more of an all around ski that I can learn on, Carve and Jump wakes but still have a decent top end.

I'm in Canada so my SJ options are limited... I would kill for a 98+ blue round nose!

But can anyone give me their opinions on these models and give me some words of wisdom?

Buy the superjet, once you buy it you will see why everyone here will agree with me,(well almost everyone). The square is a great platform and has the same bottom hull design as the newer models in exception of the 08, and if it already has a 701 then you are on your way to having a blast. The kawi will be fun for a little while but you will out grow it in my opinion.

ive had a 90 superjet, and a 91 superjet, and a 1994 750sx.

If I still had the 750sx, it would sit on the trailer, while I ride the superjets.

I am dead serious.

if its all you have, a 750sx is ok.

given the choice?

I BOUGHT THE SUPERJET! I just got home, pix will follow when its light out! It is super clean inside but needs paint because it has a really brutal airbrush shark teeth motif on the bottom deck!

You offering test rides on your SXR now that you're selling it?? I've never ridden one, and who knows, I just may add one to the fleet for running buoys.
