New ride this year....No more Kawi's

Been off the whole racing scene due to school the last few years but I have been steadily riding....after 11 years on Kawasaki my local sponsor has changed ownership and will no longer be supporting my green rides....so I moved to the Austrian darkside in the form of KTM 350 sx-f. I am completely in love with the bike and have done well on it so far...except a buddy an i were training for loretta lynn's and decided to break my collar bone...2 more weeks and I will be cleared to race again. Here are a few pics...kept it stock as i was trying to qualify for stock class at loretta's...pipe and suspension mods coming over the winter..

damn sexy!!!! Alessi has been doing pretty good on it, Along w/ SHort... It seems like it's better outdoors than in.

do you like it better then the kawi? i ride a 09 450 and since i've made the switch to ktm i feel like a nut hugger as much as i talk about it.

I love it so far, I can carry so much more momentum than a 450 is amazing. The front end is a bit more nervous then i am used to...but then again it knifes turns alot better than my Kawi. I will be back to riding in a week so I will so some more setup and see where it goes.

have you tried flipping the offset in the clamps yet? it actually makes a difference. and man, ktm's have a freaking motor. buddy has a 09 kx450 and my bike with a spart arrestor and me weighing 100 more lbs i can run him down in a drag race.

no i have not tried this but that is the next step....I have not taken a full day to get the bike setup yet, and by no means is it bad. I was just really comfortable on Kawi's so i'm just feeling everything out for right now. I cannot get over the brembo binders.....they are absolutely unbelievable

Mmost of my friends run 450s (some 250's)...I destroy them in corners. The slight power disadvantage is well worth the way you can steer and control.....its like a really really really fast 250f, I raced 250's mostly and hopping on this thing has made much much smoother

I have a 11 250SXF. Love it! This is my 4th KTM now. As long as I am buying my own bikes (which will be forever), I am buying KTM!
