New superjet!

Hey guys I'm happy to say I'm a proud new owner of a superjet, couldnt be happier with my decision. I sold my 04 sxr in a day and turned around to buy a 95 square nose thats loaded with parts. I was a little worried at first because the square nose didnt appeal me and i like round noses but its growing on me.
It has :
Riva Head (185)
factory b pipe
k&n filter
AC aluminum handpole
quick throw system
aftermarket hood (not sure by who)
some solas prop (not sure pitch or whatever)
R&D intake\ride plate.
footholds\new turf

All i can say is WOW it has a lot of power and awesome pop. I'm super glad i sold my sxr for this, the only thing that will have to grow on me it just doesnt feel "new" like my sxr.

Now heres a question. the moment i did a submarine it bogged. Ive heard this problem before with square nose's. What could i do to emlinate this issue? Ive heard getting stock flame arrestor and blocking off the air intake.

I never had lots of water in my sxr and this thing was loaded with water. it does have a scupper and wondering if i should leave it unblocked? I also have a rule 500 bildge should i run that continuously or will that waste my battery? the switch is brocken on it right now but ill fix it, it will work if i just touch the wires together.

Congratulations on the SJ, but be warned: they are highly addictive and tend to multiply.
There are some hood mod tutorials floating around here somewhere on the X. They should help you with the water intrusion. As far as leaving the bilge on- if you have a good battery and are not running TL, you should be fine.

here are some pics here at the beach

update: For a temporary fix for the holes up front of the hood i tried putting a wine cork in it and it worked perfect.
now I need 3 wine corks cut them in half and put some sealant around them. that will do until i get time in the winter to glass over.

im ordering some yellow turf when i get home for the rails\front bumper and chin pad.

i took it out today on the intercoastal. it was pretty windy. the only problem with the ski is it bogs when water gets inside. I blocked off the front air intakes except one hole and im not sure it helped water intrusion because i still had a lot. i just need to find a stock flame arrestor. i think that will help.

its an awesome ski when its not bogging. got pulled over by the cops because i still had a PA registration sticker on until my new NC one comes in

EDIT: i got a new bildge switch, and my old rubber peice that went over it was all torn up and couldnt reuse it. so whenever im wet and touch it it gives me a little shock aha. that will wake you up
