SXR New sxr specs

Read this on pwctoday;
12" longer than an SXR and approx 550lbs. Ski will be using a rendition of the 12f engine & a 148mm pump. $10.5k price tag. The two indicators on the handpole are low oil and overheat indicator lights. Slow key for newer riders.

Water ingestion issues are being combated through a fully sealed engine compartment and pole breathers.

There is no chance this is true in regards to the weight and size.

Seems reasonable.

Itd be 180lbs heavier than the sxr but 180 lbs lighter than the 12f.

Odd thing would be that the 12f was 8k so 10.5 is pretty high unless thats an out the door price.

Would much rather see a smaller motor with a spark price tag and weight.

One small note: the 12F engine has been out of production for 11 years. Kawi ain't bringing that back. Rather, initial rumors were a 15F motor was to be used, but once leaked info began diffusing excitement for the SX-R's return, confirmation of a 1-liter 4-cylinder (presumably H2-based) surfaced. It "should" shave a little weight, but we'll see.

this is what I was thinking at first, that Super Charged 1000cc bike engine! Sounds perfect for the SXR at only 100lbs!!

Supercharged? No. But a naturally-aspirated version yes.

It will be under 1100cc. The IJSBA dropped a hint in this years rule book. The mention of normally aspirated <1100cc specifically being allowed in ski lites / stock.

LoL. Ill admit that one got me too. I figured it out though when I clicked on the "click here for more info" link at the end of the article.

But yea, its so funny to see so many rumors swirl around. I seriously doubt kawi would shoot themselves in the foot on this by remaking the seadoo 3D.
