hi im kind of new to this with jetskis but I just bought a kawasaki sxr 800 -08 and I changed some stuffs on it yesterday and was hoping maby U could help me answeing a coulple of questions? I have bought and installed:
1 x R&D 800 SXR Pro Series Race Plate
1 x R&D 800 SXR Stealth Aquavein Scoop
1 x Solas 800SXR KP.DF.13.22 Pitch Impeller
2 x Tau Ceti Pro Series Air Filter 1.5inch Tall
2 x Tau Ceti Billet Filter Adapters (800 SXR - AD-I40-11)
1 x Riva Quick Drain Kit (Kawasaki quick drain kit BS41)
is there anything else u think I would change?
becouse when I tryed it out this day it wasent that much of a difference. was hoping for the impeller to give me a little moore accleration but it didnt increase it at all. have I done somthing wrong or should I change the parts for some other brand? and is the air filters a good investment, or is it useless when I havent changed anything else in the engine?

First off, welcome to the X!

Next, return every part you bought except maybe the scoop. None of those other parts will help you at all. I think the impeller is almost identical to what came on the ski.

1. Get a Factory Wet Pipe (follow the directions to a tee!).
2. Get a lightened flywheel or have yours lightened.
3. (if your not going to race competitively) get footholds installed
4. Get a bilge pump.
5. Get some straight bars (Blowsion or Star etc etc)

....ride it and have fun!

Make sure you do some reading on here before you buy a bunch of parts and spend a bunch of money that you don't need to. .

The pipe comes with directions about carb settings and new jets....follow them very carefully.

Get the charging flywheel, or your battery will not charge.

The footholds are cut and glassed in the sides, straps are not.

Do some research on here and look at some pictures! Have fun! :bananajump:

ty for helping me, I have looked around a bit but im still a little confused about some things, should I also get a flow control valve? and should I get sx 650 nozzle to for better lowend punch? I also read somthing about "enlarged pump fitting" that I should change something to a true 1/4" NPT X 1/2" Barb fitting for proper cooling water flow, is that correct? and also switch to a 2.0 needle seat assemblyinstead of the 1.5 (stock)? whats your opinnion about this? sorry for asking so many questions but im very thankfull for all the help.

you can take your nozzle to a local machinist in your area and tell them to bore it out to 80MM, and slap a freestyle pump cone on there(around $50), if you dont want to put a bilige in, install a good quality scupper valve, i love mine.( it costed me around $150 from blowsion.com.) also block off the air inlet hole on your hood, with a blowsion cap or a frogzskin.

ok ty think im starting to get this now :) think I go for the Rule 500 gph bilge pump, wet pipe, flywheel and frogzskin. but when it come to bore the nozzle im not really sure what that means, I know what bore is but im not really sure what it is that I should bore. english isent my strongest language :) is bore it out the only way or can I replace some item instead and get the same effect? and changing to a 2.0 needle isent necessary? think I read somewhere that it would give me better throttle response? searched for it on blowsion homepage but couldent find any. and do I also need a flow control valve? and enlarged pump fittings is that the same as 1/2 inch 45 degree water bypass fittings?

-unbolt your nozzle. take it to a shop that can drill (bore) it out bigger to 80 millimeters. ( take off 4 bolts.) its the silver part inbetween black steering piece and pump. http://www.hydroponicsonline.com/st...-750-jet-ski-watercraft-pump_250820153440.jpg

-2.0 isnt necessary.

factory pipe IS needed. biggest bang for the buck.

Flow control valves are good because water doesn't build up in your waterbox after a long idle....it keeps it clean on the bottom emd.

As far as the pump fitting, yes....1/2 inch 45 degree fitting. It will all be in the directions with your pipe. yes, change the jets, should come with your pipe.
