I was burning some time at work earlier today and went on the XScream page. Noticed that the price of a new Helium went up to $9800.

Also heard a rumor, from a buddy who was a body beach WF 2019 - saying XS would bring back the DVX hull ?

That is correct! Visual DVX or Helium as well. Contact me for pricing or more info.

As a manufacturer. Materials have gone way up. This sport definitely isn't cheap either! Our pricing has also gone up.

Well i dont see the materials gone up to justify that price increase - my 2 cents would be, to raise the bottom line a bit. But i guess thats interesting for competition in the hull industry :D

In my opinion 10k is a bargain for any high quality hull. All of us in the sport are lucky to have these manufacturers working for all of us. They aren’t getting rich selling low volumes of hulls. They are doing it because they are all riders and love the sport. If any of them quit making skis the sport would suffer. It takes a ton of time and money to build this stuff. It’s not just a hull, it takes molds for

Hood
Hood liner
Bottom deck
Top deck
Bulkhead
Left foothold
Right foothold

Now trim, fit and bond it all together!
Don’t forget about all the fixtures to set all the inserts correctly and then come back and drill/tap those.
I have made molds for custom ride plates and engine bed plates and it is a lot of stinkin work. Not to mention itchy miserable work. Go try and just make a mold and a dumb coupler cover and I bet you won’t be bitching about 10k for a complete hull ready to bolt your parts in.

Since building a few raw hulls over the last few years,l can tell there is a ton of hours with assembly after the hulls are popped out of the mold.
