Newbie looking for advice on a ski

Hey guys my names Dave and I've been riding standups for two years now started on a Sxi and last year bought a sxr...in the beginning of the season it was the coolest thing I owned but the weight of the thing is holding me back...I can backflip bikes skis. Dirtbikes pitbikes but the closest thing I can do with this ski of a boat wake is barrel roll...I'm stuck right now trying to figure out should I sell the ski since its almost stock....or cut it up for trim new footholds and dump in some coin on some power....or buy a new hull or used freeride ski....let me know

My opinion is to simply buy a Q8 or Arial hull setup for Kawi drive train and a pipe. Use the entire guts from your SXR and you will be flatwater flipping in no time.
DO NOT BUY the Q8 Sky hull.
That is your quickest fix and it will be incredible the difference you will feel (equivalent to a 1200cc motor in your SXR but lighter and way more fun).
Maybe a racer will purchase your SXR hull helping in the cost.

Option 2 is , Sell the sxr and buy something DONE, a short aftermarket hull with 800cc or better, the cost will be higher this way but less work involved.
That SXR drive train will be nice in an 80# hull/hood combo.

I had an 08 SXR and dumped $17,000 total into it trying to make it into a freestyle ski. I finally decided to cut my losses and sell it. I ended up buying a 04 superjet for parts and a new Rickter FS-2 hull. I wish I would have done that from the start. It would have save me a ton of cash. That's my two cents, take it for what it's worth.
