Need some advise on next upgrade for 05 SJ.

Im looking for more bottom end snap and not sure what the best bang for buck mod would be.

Mods to date are.

Riva wet pipe
Riva flame arrestors
Riva head 185psi
Boysen rad valves
13/17 concord cut back 3 mm
bored nozzle
stubby cone
stock 38 carbs

Ski has good midrange and top end but bottom is a little to soft. Would i be
better spending $500 on a B Pipe, second hand carbs or Msd enhancer????

Cheers

I wouldn't spend 500 bucks to go from a Riva pipe to a B-pipe. You'd be disappointed.
Consider porting.

lighten the flywheel will be the best $60ish you spend.
While you have the flywheel off bump the timing up. With stock cdi and 185psi you will be fine with the advance and it is a free mod.
After that porting and bigger carbs would be the next step.

What do you do to bump up the timing? would it be good for about 170psi and a WOT run here and there?

advancing the timing means you rotate the stator plate CCW. I wouldnt go any more then 2mm (2 degrees), and some people recommend against it. 170 psi is fine for that too.
