Okay, I just got done doing an oil injection block off and a new impeller along with an intake grate. I just finished today and I go to crank it over with fresh premix and now it won't turn over. It just clicks. I put the charger on the battery and it says it is charging but all my ski does is "click" everytime I push the button (very annoying) I took the starter wire and put it directly on the battery hot wire and it didn't do anything.

I had the ski tipped to the side for about 2 weeks and the oil 'oozed' out. I was thinking maybe the battery acid also 'oozed' out???

Anyway, I'm trying to go to the lake tomorrow...any help is appreciated! Thanks:wave:

Okay, I just changed the battery for a new one...and still a no-go. I then hooked the battery to the positive wire to the starter and the negative to the ground and nothing. I stuck a screw driver to jump the solenoid and nothing happens. Does this mean my starter is bad? I already took it off...i'm just waiting so I know what to do???

Thanks

Did you have remove the engine to install the block off plate ? I suppose not.
Remove the 2 spark plugs and try to start. This may help to find if the energy is too low to crank with compression. Take a look in the spark holes and try to see if the cylinders are ok. If it still doesn't start then your problem may be...
1) Electric: the solenoid may be stuck.
or
2) The engine is stuck: Try to push the pistons with a long screwdriver in the spark plug holes. The piston have to go down in the cylinders with a medium force.

We just try to find where begin the problem, now you know if it's "Before" the engine. I mean between the battery and the starter or after it... The engine itself.

I took the starter apart and I couldn't get the brushes to go back. Unfortunately I don't have 10 fingers on each hand. I'm thinking about just parting it out...
