Super Jet noob, b pipe comming should I wrap it?

my cousin is sending me a b pipe LMD for my 2010 sj
I was wondering if i should wrap the stinger in that cast looking stuff to keep temp down. MY buddys got his pipes wrapped on his harley and was wondering if that was a good idea or not.
Just a thought, any input?

your pipe should not be hot, it should be warm to the touch.

I think this could have a similar effect as turning the adjustment screws
I know people wrap them with fiber glass and carbon this could insulate the pipe as well
