O.k. so here it is I was hangin out with the guys the other day and it had been awhile and over the course of the winter everybody's got go-carts/yard carts not the shifter karts just regular ones. Anyway they range from 5hp to 10hp engines and one of guy has a 5hp running on menthnol. So they just do it for fun really racing around the neighborhood for braggin rights and winning a beer here and there. Now I already have an expensive Jetski project going and it comes first!!!!But I'm hooked on racing these guys w/ no go-cart. And to top it off when I got home I was doing yard work and found a old 5hp briggs and stratton on the other side of the fence just tossed out by somebody. I tore it down cleaned it up found that really the only thing wrong I can tell is a bent intake valve!! So now I'm going to the flea market this coming weekend to pick up and old beater go-cart frame. But my question is what can I do to the engine while its tore down to get a little HP??For Free or Very Cheap?? I have a dremel and have already smoothed out the intake and exhaust port, I didn't change any sizing just smoothed out cast marks....Any Advice from some pros???And where can I get a good intake valve?? The numbers I found on the engine where this..
