O rings for Starter?

Hi ,

Im doing some maintenance to my starter that was slower than usual and i would like to replace the two big o rings
Pn 35C-81844-00-00


But Yamaha sells them for around 30 bucks each !

Has anybody managed to get similar o-rings for less? ( they dont look special to be so expensive...)

You must have looked at the wrong part number. I thought they were about $4. I'm sure JM has them.

4 bucks is the small one at the front; im referring to the two large that seals the 3 pieces of the starter body.

Similar? How about exactly the same! Yamaha's retail for $31 (11H-81844-00-00), however Kawasaki's are only $7.36 retail ( p/n 92055-1381)

If you can't find new ones, wrap it with butyl rubber tape. You can get it at Home Depot in electrical section. The stuff stretches n gets adhered pretty good.
