300/440/550 ocean pro holeshot nozzle on an x2

i just put a very nice ocean pro nozzle on my x2 and now my ski won't turn left worth a ********.i'm getting full sweep but it just won't turn left it just about spins out turning right....my ski was the best turning ski of all my friends until i put the new setup on:shrug:wonder if the finns in the nozzle are hindering my turning..any one have any feed back on this?

sounds like an X-2!!!

seriously, just adjust the barrel connector at the end of the steering cable to get it centered.

and, Welcome To The X!!!

it's centered ..the only thing different from last week is the nozzle ,the ski just won't turn left nearly as good as it did before.I'm also having trouble with my accustear i think the shaft is twisted andwon't allow any more adjustment, both barrel fittings are adjusted all the way in..but that would'nt make it steer any different,i'm still getting full left and right sweep on the nozzel.the problem i was having was that i could'nt get the bars perfectly straight i would run out of adjustment..but i just changed the steering to a different stem, a( bullet proof) and now i have more adjustments in my barrel fittings, the bars are straight but the sweep left and right are not equel.I've bottomed out the steering cable on the barrel fitting.i'm not sure that any of this is going to make it steer any better or worse.it turned great last week..just have to water test it this week. .....and thank you for the warm welcome:woot:

Some of the older nozzles turned too far. Is the nozzle exit being blocked by the corner of the hull. If you are using the sx nozzle it will be too short. The PJS nozzle removed the trim and was a longer X-2 specific part. I am not familiar with the ocean pro nozzle for the X-2. Just the one for the SX. If you want to see that boat carve find an old Jet Dynamics scoop grate and concave ride plate. They worked the best IMHO

I have seen cables that were too long on brand new X2's when I worked at the stealership,we ended up cutting the cable off some and then it adjusted out correctly.

I think that nozzle is too short to use in an X2.

I had the same problem with my X2 when I put on a PJS nozzle. Turns great one way, not so great the other.

PM Vitoali I think is his name on here. He was selling these little cable extenders for SXR's. Not sure if that is what you need, but it may help. Otherwise try a quick turn plate? Cut the hull off some? X2's are bad about the nozzle blast of water hitting the hull.

took ocean pro nozzle off put my pjs reduction nozzle with a 1" spacer and a sx stock steering nozzle ,ski turned on a dime just like before i messed with the OP set up.:banghead:But now i don't have all the slop from the trim nozzle..sorry i did'nt think anyone replyed to this post.It also seems that my cable is fine. although my bird cage broke last weekend,i replaced it and all is well.:Banane19:

Crab you are going to jinx me! If there are any of the Motine cages at Havasu, I am going to have my parts connection pick me up one!

Fat Kid, you must be Fletch's (Joe's) riding buddy and Tekwerkx on eBay huh?

Mine bolts are frozen to the subplate, will have to pull the fricken motor and probably swap out subplates, have one from an 89.

Thank the salt water... mine came out pretty easy. I just used a open end/box end wrench. You don't get much torque with those as compared to a 1/2" drive extended ratchet.
