Octane Electrical Box Removal & Cleaning Tips Needed

I have a 2003 Polaris Octane that is running great. I looked at the electrical box and there seems to be a small gap on the upper corners where the lid and box com together. I know this is a common issue. I want to remove the electrical box, replace, the seal and bend the cover back or get a new on to make sure it is sealing properly. Are these electrical boxes easy to remove? Do they stay connected to the stator like the yamaha 650/701 or does everything unplug for easy removal. Beside cleaning contacts inside, replacing the seal, and closing the gap are there any other recommendations anyone has for me while I have it out. I did think about using silicone on it after it is together to add an additional leyer of protection. Anyways, I would love some assistance to this. Thanks guys!

Everything unplugs except maybe the positive from the starter relay, you have to take that nut off.
The boxes are pretty much hopeless as far as getting them to work as intended though. I've heard of people moving all the stuff into some kawi box, but I never did that. Just use a good bead of silicone when putting it back together. I use the GE kitchen/bath stuff because it's easy to clean up the next time you want to get in there.
