This may be a noob question but I'm only asking to be sure. Here goes, I pulled this crank from my 05' superjet. I was wondering what are those stain-like spots are. I might be reusing this crank for a different motor and I want to be sure if this crank doesn't need a rebuild. The bearings are spinning nicely and there is no plays in the rods. I'm just cautious about those spots.

What do y'all think?

Those spots were presumably caused by moisture. Probably did not affect the bearings. The only bearing surface you can really inspect is the small end of the connecting rods (where the pin goes). If you see any kind of fretting, pitting or sign of corrosion, you'll likely have the same on the crankpin- which you cannot see. That would be the time to retire the crank.
