Just run no fuse....got rid of mine from the beginning and the heat sensor wire.

Never understood why people eliminate the fuse. I have never seen a fuse blow except if you hook battery up backwards or have a short of some kind. In those cases, if you have no fuse, you can have a fire or at least toast electrical components.

I have never had an issue, ever. if your ski is tuned and runs good you will never have problems, i see guys riding with jerry rig'ed dual bilge pumps and all sorts of weird electrical wiring everywhere criss crossing around their motor ending at the battery and ebox, it might work for them and a fuse is needed but its just one more thing to burn up/short out, less is more when riding in water especially in salt. Not bashing anyone but it has worked for me and tons of other dudes its personnel preference.

I accidentally hooked up my battery backwards and my heart sank once I realized the mistake. It only cooked the fuse, which made me very fortunate it had one. A really good reason to not eliminate it.
If it doesn't slow you down and is only a safety blanket, why take it out? Same with the thermo switch. If my cooling water line gets clogged I would be happy for it to shut down before overheating.

Unless someone ransacked your ebox, there should be another one hanging on the fuse wire in the small vinyl holder.

The fuse is 10A, can be found at Autozone.
Or Yamaha P/N 1E6-82151-00-00 for $2.95. I bought a spare to put back in the holder when I ordered some other OEM parts.
