Hi all,

How good / bad is the oem grate? Will cutting the two mid stripes be a beneficial move in terms of laoding the pump, but will the ski start to handle like crap?? We are talkin defoamed 62T platform with 08 prop, and FS cone.

Thanks

Andrew

dont know how much that would really help.... you need an aftermarket scoop grate.... like the worx 201 or 205.... 201 seems to be a favorite for freestyle... 205 seems to be a favorite for freeriding.... riva makes some, jetdynamics, etc... maybe put an ad out that you want a intake grate in the wanted section... I used to have a Riva one I would have sold for cheap.... not anymore, but there must be someone on here that has a few laying around...

there is one in the for sale section.... worx 201 you can make him an offer... x2ryder is selling it... maybe look for a cheaper one if thats too expensive... good luck!

If you are taking a pre 08 RN then yes, the worx will be a good addition, also the jet dynamics works wonders for hookup. On the other hand, a worx intake made my 08 (newer hull) handle like crap! I am back to the oem grate and much happier!

I got a cheap grate (50 usd) new, old stock. it has yamaha stamped on it. I heard they were made by fischer or something. Got it from John @ Jetski Haven. I think its more of a racing grat, though (2 wings inside the gdrate, not too steep)
