Octane ok got another one

any one put a yamaha motor in an octane? i just got one that sank last year. the motor is a mess. plain on rebuliding it this winter.but i have a ton of complete yamaha motors. how hard would it be to drop one in the octane?

Superramjet and I did one a while back , it was a great boat .

But we started from scratch , and made the motor mount plates , and bulkhead ..

Did you know what you were buying...? He posted something on PWCToday about the motor being torn apart, but wouldn't put that in the ad. I bought the last Octane that was on ebay, and it was a lot rougher than he made it out to be. My surprise was a "destroyed" pump....

i know the kid selling it. it sank last year motors toast. ele box is full of water. nothing that cant be fixed.this motor is all complete in the ski just locked up.carbs are frozen.
yamaha power 4 now!!!

funny thing IT TURNS OVER!!! LOL it was alittle stuck but i got it turning over. (i know the motor is still going to need a crank) it would run but i got no spark. anyone got a cdi ? i also need a mid shaft bearing. (thats why it sank). i was washing the motor off and the water was just pouring out of the drive shaft tunnel. carbs are good now also.

Hey does anyone know what other pumps you can run in the hulls? Have a octane hull but don't have the mag pump and looking to put a 144 superjet pump in it. is it that hard

Had the same problem, but found an Octane pump on here. Have to wait and get lucky I guess. Heard of people doing yamaha pumps, but no one could tell me how.

from what i heard it's similar drive shaft length from a sj to octane, you need a pump, ds, and midshaft from an sj. then a danger boy coupler ds side. i'll have mine apart in two weeks to compare between yami stuff and polaris if you want to wait that long.

so your saying all what you need is a superjet pump and drive shaft and midshaft and it will bolt right up. can anyone verify this?
