Freestyle Okay so what in the heck did ya have to fix on your ski today?

I will start. Today I fixed my broken throttle cable that has been hacked for only about 1.5 seasons. Simple task that I finally did. Also where I live/ride I see temps from freezing 0 to +35 degrees C. that is like 32-100. F. Anyways needless to say my ski has been feeling heat soaked down low as summer heat has kicked in big time. Its not enough to load it up but enough for me to be turning my screws in and in and in. That ain't great tuning. so I rejetted my pilots and reset my screws. While the carbs where off i checked my pop-off for leaking N/S and cleaned the internal filters which only had tiny hairballs in them. I water tested and am :icon16: again! Ride on.

That's interesting that you had to go as far as rejetting your carbs to compensate for the heat. I ride from Feb, Nov when the water is 50F and the air is 50F and July/Aug when the air temp is 100+ and the water is 90-100. Never touched my carbs to compensate for this.

My list of things I did over the last couple days has been pretty low. My list of things I've been putting off or slowly working on is massive.

I haven't had to fix anything all year long, only thing I've done with my ski (other than ride it), is throw in a new PowerFactor water box, and repitch my prop to compensate for all the extra bottom end. Ahhhh, the joys of having a bullet-proof set up. :veryhappy:

Yup.
I replaced my steering cable, but not because it was broken. Just bought a different one to try.
I also adjust the carbs to run MS109 for the weekend.
Other than that, I never touch the carbs. Same settings in 35 deg water, 30 deg air as in 70 deg water, 105 deg air. It runs the same. (Of course, humidity is always low here and never changes)

So....I don't really fix that much on my ski. I got customer skis for that.
On that note: Did two SD 787 topends recently, a 787 SBT motor swap, have a Kawi 1100 topend coming up the next couple of days, a Yami 1200 Carb clean & rebuild, and another Yami 1200 with starter trouble.

X2, our lot is PACKED with over 100 skis, most of which are Sea Doos! I'm starting to go crazy by doing motor rebuilds and pump services all day long!
