That's a stock 750 cylinder. Will probably replace both pistons. The rear piston is looking a bit crispy.

true, im guessing the nasty death water went through the head and it was like "i give up"

He ment that my boat is water shy. Everytime it goes out it gets towed back.

It over heated and melted the pistons. We are working on getting the factory 750 pipe to work in the boat. Had 2" 750 exhaust with 1.5" hoses and waterbox from 650 set up. My theory is the back pressure on the exhuast prevented the heat from escaping. Obviously the boat was too lean for the set up. The exhaust will have 2" hoses and the proper waterbox before it goes onto the water again.

ouch! i know how ya feel, my old 650 was like that.. i blew it up 3 times last summer before i decided that pushing a 650 as hard as i was wasnt worth it, and got a 750 motor.
