Opinion on Jet Dynamics short length ride plate

pre 08 SJ, worx 201 intake is the only other handling modification. 175 pounds, flat water only, chase a few bouy's recreationally, slam some surf boat waves, chase a few boats. is the shorter length jet dynamics ride plate a good design for my riding. looks to be a good plate from what i can find out. I know everyone's different just want to eliminate some of the guess work. does anyone have any experience with it? worth the cash buying one secons hand? thanks guys

Every ride plate is going to feel different to different riders. Weight of each rider will effect how a plate will feel. Point is. Opinions on ride plates are subjective. Many racers loved the R&D plate grate combo on the SXR. I hated them.

The short ride plate is for riders up to 175 lbs. The extended plate is for riders over 175 lbs. I just switched from a Worx and went with the extended JD on plate because I'm ~200 lbs but haven't had a chance to try it out yet but will tomorrow. I will give you feedback in the next couple days.

I am in the 175-180 range and went with the extended on both my 94' and 04' superjets and did the jd intake grate. It made my 94' rideable again. 04' smooth it out and ride full speed in good water. I would probably lean towards the extended. Did a bunch of research and think jd make the best plate

I switched from a Worx plate to the extended JD and it seems to be a better all around plate. However my ski seems a little more "squirrelly" at cruising speed but I think that is just a characteristic of a 08+ hull. One complaint I do have is the finish. The fit was great but the finish is less to be desired. My ski has been sitting on a stand on the water (fresh) for a few days now and the plate is already starting to form corrosion all over it. Other than that I like the way it makes the ski handle.

I ran the short j-d plate for many years. Good all around plate. Had enough grip to turn buoys but still can break loose when you want to have fun. I'm about 160lbs. I run a long word plate and it's better all around for racing.
