lol here we go.

Let's find out about everyone's favorite oil while we're at it.

Serious: The most popular carbs these days (and since I got into the sport in 2005) seem to be Full Spectrum, Novi, and BlackJack.

We have had the best luck with Novis here at the shop. That being said I am personally running a set of Riva Powerbomb 48s in my ski and they work great too! You got my number so if you have any more questions about it just hit me up:)

walmart oil cause its cheap.

Put 1 oz of walmart generic TCW3 in a glass jar with 10oz of water. Shake vigorously.

You will never run that crap again.

I don't agree that you need to run $70/ga synthetic oils, I run quicksilver because I can get it for $20/ga. Walmart oil mixes with water. It is absolute garbage.

I don't know what they charge for that crap wal mart oil where you are but in Florida it's more expensive for that stuff then actual "Kawasaki" oil from the dealer lol... wal mart is not the cheapest place to buy everything!!

Generic TCW3 is $18/ga, and quicksilver is $28 at walmart.

I buy my quicksilver from the mercury dealer. They just fill 1ga bottles from a 55ga drum, and give you $1 off for bring backing the bottle, so $20.50ga. Can't beat it.

Curious on everyone's opinion on best freestyle carb

It all depends. Smaller motors certainly tune easier with smaller carbs. You can get good results with any of the current freestyle brands mentioned but...

stay far away from any of the old, tired race carb crap floating around. They are terrible for freestyle and hard to impossible to tune for consistent low end snap. Not to mention worn throttle shafts, etc.

They are gorgeous, they do have that going for them. Honestly I think its who ever you get the best support from when it comes to carbs. If your builder can tell you where to start with your setup with a particular carb or the carb mfr can assist you there then you will be happy, happy, happy. The best carb in the world can be a PIA if you dont know what they need to function with your set up.
Ed at FS is good with getting you close from the get go, but get that info up front because he is one man and hard to get ahold of later. But most engine builders have their faves and can steer you right from the start saving you ALOT of time and head ache.
So IMO the best carbs are the onse you get free teck sapport with.

How come all of these carbs are annular discharge I was reading a groupk tuning guide and it said annular discharge carbs are bad for low end because you can't get the correct velocity through them consistently and that the bomb sight style carbs are better. Any input on this?

The only current carbs that are AD: BlackJacks and ATP (and maybe the copied BJ's in Japan and Thailand).

I highlighted the problem for you.

The only annular discharge carbs on the market right now are blackjacks. Lamey's, Full Specs, Novis, stockers all have bomb sites.
