Opinions on Epxy

So I tore into my motor and found this. Don’t have knowledge about epoxy so if someone could tell me if this is a poor job or possibly explain it a little. Thanks

Pulse valve? Fingers? Fresh to working on skis so my knowledge is slim with these motors.
