Blaster Ordered some parts hoping this helps

So I recently bought a stock 94' waveblaster. Now that i'm getting alittle better on it I just dont like how it handles. It seams the rear of the boat loses grip and slides all the time making it difficult to corner smoothly and it tends to come unhooked alot now.

Today I ordered a Worx rideplate and a wr201 Worx intake grate. This should help alittle with cornering grip and coming unhooked?

Also I gps'd the boat for top speed and its sitting at 43.6mph on somewhat smooth water in a seated position. Does this sound right for a 94' waveblaster?

You will fell a BIG difference with the ride plate and intake grate should stay hooked up pretty well. They aren't fast skis! Well unless your drop big dollars on a big motor and pump and everything else. A pipe will wake that ski up a lot though.

Do you lean hard when turning or stay flat?

A grate and plate will help definitely but weight placement helps considerably also.

You'll get a lot less porpoising with the plate, and the grate will keep the pump hooked up better in the chop. If you really want a tight turning ski that won't slide, put some sponsons on it and hold on for dear life in the corners.

And be prepared to lose a bit of top speed because of the grate and plate.
