Over heat sensor

so i got a donor engine and e box from a waverunner 3. I removed the sensor wire. Should i connect the pink wire and black together in the ebox or just leave disconnected? I also had a superjet ebox w/o a cdi. I took the s/s switch 2 harness wire from it and replaced the 3 harness wire from the WR 3. Is there anything special i need to pay attention to? I dont have a s/s switch at the moment to see if it works or not. But i did reconnect the color to color wires. THANKS

If you connect them together I believe that is called the "SLO KEY". Good for when your friends want a ride...

Im pretty sure no one does that.

Just tape up the pink wire in the ebox.

As for the ss switch. The white plug has a red and brown wire. Red comes from the fused 12v in the ebox. Brown goes to the low amp side of the starter solenoid. The black plug has a white wire that goes to cdi and a black wire thats grounded in the e box.

Ive never seen a 3 wire plug as you say but some couches have another plug with several wires that went to the dash. If this is what you are talking about, you can just cut those at the ebox and tape them up. I heat shrinked mine in a 701 i have from a raider.

Yeah. Engines from a couch. I pulled the ebox plug that contained the s/s switch harness and guage cluster so i wouldnt have a bunch of holes in it after emoving wires. Replaced it with the plug from the other ebox. Removed the jumpers for the gauge cluster and reconnected color to color. Got a switch and it turns over so im thinkin i got it right. Havent tried running it though. Not ready to install gas tank yet.
