paint flaking off oem exhaust

I was wondering if anyone else has had paint flaking off of there exhaust where the circle is, this is a 2014 sj im going to look at tomorrow but the owner seems to know almost nothing about it, i dont even think he knows what flushing is......and we live very close to the beach so im afraid the motor might have a lot of corrosion inside. I was just thinking this might be a hint to saltwater corrosion. Any thoughts?

i also see some corrosion on the e-box where the two positive cables are


he wants 4000 for it, is that a good or bad deal?

4 is good for a 14.... Coming with that raider too ?
You might look for beach rash on the bottom of the ski or sand n the pump nozzles area. Where does he say he rides it ?

Hell yes 4k is good deal! Talk him down to 3300 due to that massive amount of corrosion

They all corrode. Probably wont find a better deal on an 08+. You'll probably be replacing the exhaust soon anyway and the ebox is pretty hard to reach so you'll see corrosion on it no matter how you care for it.

That doesnt look like corrosion on the exhaust but rather paint flaking off the gasket that's sandwiched in there....looks clean to me, id be grabbing it for that price

Seller wasn't motivated, im still texting him once a week to this day to see if hes ready for me to come get it and he just reads and dosent reply to them....

Good luck keep on him. You guys have it good over there. I can't find a beat down SQ nose for under 2500 in Washington state.
